  Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM) is the national chamber for the knowledge and innovation industry in Sri Lanka and acts as the catalyst of growth. We do this by facilitating trade and business, propagation of education and employment, encouraging research and innovation, and by influencing a national policy framework of value to the industry. SLASSCOM has over 200 member companies with a 30,000+ employee base. SLASSCOM drives the Imagination Economy: Sri Lanka’s Industry of the future, with the potential to become the #1 export revenue earner for Sri Lanka. The SLASSCOM Board supported by the Past-Chairmen and an Advisory Board determines the priorities and goals for SLASSCOM, driven by industry needs.   About SLASSCOM  SLASSCOM is the national chamber for the IT/BPM industry in Sri Lanka and acts as the catalyst of growth for the Sri Lankan IT and BPM industry by facilitating trade and business, propagation of education and employment, encouragement of research and innovation, and by supporting the creation of a progressive national policy framework. Member organizations of SLASSCOM account for approximately 90% of the IT/BPM industry export revenue. Vision and Mission SLASSCOM together with private sector stakeholders in the IT/BPM industry will work with the government to implement initiatives in line with long term national economic and social objectives. Our aim is to enhance avenues of foreign investment, foreign exchange revenue and skilled employment in a knowledge economy to compete globally where world class technology, innovation, global best practices are implemented. This will help the industry develop and sustain its competitive advantage globally.

  The enormous scale of the Pandemic and it’s impact has caused much fear, uncertainty and anxiety across the globe that also culminated in a  paradigm shift in the workplace. What was once a primarily in-office model has transformed into a remote-first working environment. For many companies, the novel coronavirus spurred a sudden and dramatic shift from the majority of employees working in the office to everyone working remotely. Moving forward, employers should not expect work environments and practices to snap back to a pre-pandemic reality. As companies gear up for the return to work, some workforces will stay fully remote, some will return fully to the office, and others will embrace a hybrid approach.   Industry Innovation Partners (Associate Membership) This membership category is created for organizations that are specifically focused on driving innovation or initiatives to support innovation. These organizations could be subsidiaries of larger corporates or independent entities, whose core business would not be software development or IT services. However, these organizations already use or see the potential of AR/VR, AI, IoT, robotics and other emerging technologies to empower their business. As such, there are considerable synergies to be obtained by partnering and engaging with SLASSCOM events and working with SLASSCOM member companies. Industry Innovation Partners would be an Associate Membership and the Annual Subscription is USD 575 (~LKR 90,000). There is no joining fee and no references are required for membership.
